Burlap, known as hessian fabric outside of North America, is believed to originate in Hesse, Germany. This sturdy fabric made, from jute and sisal fibers, was originally used for clothing. An eco-friendly fabric, it is more commonly used for the storage and transport of raw goods, such as grains. We've collected vintage Feed Sacks With Writing for decorative use.
Sacks vary in size, condition and messaging.
